The Winchester SX4 Composite 9 Rounds, which weighs 7.2 lb/3.3 kg when empty, sports an elegant black and anthracite grey look. The semi-automatic shotgun in 12/76 gauge with a aluminum alloy receiver and the reliable gas system with "Active Valve", which adapts to the gas pressure of every conceivable type of shotgun ammunition, features a grey, very resistant Permacote finish on the metal parts that provides an attractive color contrast to the black composite stock. The optional 28"/71 cm or 30"/76 cm long barrel with a 0.25”/6.5 mm wide optics rail is back-bored and the tubular magazine under the barrel holds 8 cartridges, giving a firepower of 8+1 rounds. The shotgun has a stock that is equally suitable for both right- and left-handed shooters. The buttstock is 14.2”/362 mm long with 44 mm drop at comb and 51 mm drop at heel. Fast handling is guaranteed by the oversized controls (bolt lever, release button, safety). Follower and release button are coated with Nickel-Teflon to improve sliding properties and prevent corrosion. The generously sized trigger guard facilitates handling of the shotgun when it is cold outside and the shooter wears gloves. The new Winchester SX4 Composite 9 Rounds is expected to be available from June this year and will cost about 1200 euro.
Dark earth pump-action shotgun from Winchester
Also pleasing to the eye is the new Winchester SXP Xtrem Dark Earth Defender pump-action shotgun in 12/76 gauge, which stands out due to its "Flat Dark Earth" (FDE) color with black accents (trigger guard, magazine tube, heat shield, muzzle brake, Picatinny rail on receiver, cheek piece and recoil pad). The pump-action shotgun with aluminum receiver features an 18"/460 mm long, internally hard chrome-plated barrel with perforated heat shield and "Door Breacher" muzzle brake, which is alternatively available with a different inner profile for the exclusive firing of slugs. The muzzle brake can be replaced with an included cylinder choke. The composite stock with a non-slip surface texture can be adjusted in length and drop by means of spacers. The magazine tube under the barrel has a capacity for 5 cartridges, which, with an additional cartridge in the chamber, means a firepower of 5+1 rounds. The MIL-STD-1913 optic rail features a fixed "Ghost Ring" sight with protective wings combined with a high front sight. The SXP Xtrem Dark Earth Defender model will also be available from early summer this year and is priced at 638 euro with a smooth bore barrel and 731 euro with a rifled barrel.
