Designed for hunting, camping, hiking, boating, hitting the range, and outdoor activity in general, the new Savage Arms A22 Takedown rimfire rifle in .22 LR offers an extremely simple breakdown: you only need a simple twist. This means that the A22 Takedown will be easier to transport, making it the ideal “backpack rifle” for outdoor enthusiasts – or a “go-anywhere rifle”, according to the manufacturer's claim. An overall weight of just 6.3 lb/ 2.86 kg also helps.
Savage Arms A22 Takedown: improve your outdoor adventures
“No other rimfire rifles bring the versatility and flexibility of the A22 Takedown: weighing in at only 6lbs and available in 22LR, this rifle is specifically designed to improve your outdoor adventures with the ability to easily transport it in your pack,” said Beth Shimanski, Director of Marketing at Savage Arms.
Besides its handy and user-friendly takedown configuration, the latest semi-automatic rimfire rifle from Savage also features a 18”/457 mm carbon steel matte black barrel, low-profile sights, 0 MOA Picatinny rail with iron sight channel thru rail.
The AccuTrigger is user-adjustable (3-5 lbs), to improve comfort and accuracy.
The black synthetic sporter stock includes a dry storage compartment in the pistol grip and a magazine compartment in the cheek riser (each rotary magazine capacity is 10 rounds) for full flexibility during tough hikes and hunts.
All this comes for a pretty attractive MSRP in the U.S. of $479, which is some bucks less than other manufacturer's similar takedown rimfire rifles.
