The Izhmash MKK 104 semi-automatic rifle in 7.62x39 caliber represents the most modern development of the AK platform, namely the Kalashnikov Soviet assault rifle. A cliché has it that this family of weapons owes its legendary reliability to the rustic and Spartan way they are built, but reality is different. These are extremely reliable weapons, that’s is true, but also sophisticated and built with first class materials and technologies.
Izhmash MKK 104 rifle in 7.62x39mm: technical features
The MKK acronym indicates that this is the short version featuring a 13.4 in / 341 mm barrel with a fixed muzzle brake. The MK version instead mounts a 16.3 in / 415 mm long barrel. In all calibers barrels are "Military grade" and guaranteed with sub-MOA precision.
The sample rifle we had the opportunity to test and we show in the video is equipped with a collapsible and foldable stock and with VPA optics by NPZ with variable magnification from 1x to 4x simply by moving a lever.
The MKK 104 magazine has a capacity of 5 or 10 cartridges.
