This attractive bolt-action rifle for sports shooting or hunting at long ranges features a striking, black-gray composite stock with adjustable cheek riser and wide forend. The buttstock length can be adjusted by means of spacers. The receiver of the Short Action system is threaded to a 26 in / 660 mm long, stainless steel fluted barrel with Heavy Sporter contour and 1:7.5" twist, muzzle thread and muzzle brake to get maximum ballistic performance out of cartridges. The polished chamber coupled to a bolt featuring extended bolt handle ensures smooth cycling. The box magazine holds four cartridges. Three gun-sling and bipod attachments complete the Browning X-Bolt Max Long Range in 6mm Creedmoor, that in the US crosses the counter for 1269.99 USD.
All in all, even if it will have to face fierce competition, in addition to being chambered in the "right" cartridge for the job the new Browning rifle is a very interesting and up-to-date proposition for the ever-growing community of passionate long-range shooters.
