FN Herstal announces that its new Multi Weapon Mount (MWM) has been fully MIL-STD certified and is ready for service, joining a wide range of high-performance products in FN Herstal’s Air, Land and Sea Weapon Systems catalogue. 

In the Canadian military, the 9mm P320 replaces the 9mm Browning Hi-Power pistol adopted back in 1944. The initial delivery of 7,000 pistols is now complete and soldier fielding of the new gun, designated as C22, is in progress. The contract includes the pistols, holster systems, spares, and operator and maintenance training. 

A contract between the Estonian Centre for Defence Investments (ECDI) and Sako Ltd. for the procurement of new 8.6 mm sniper rifles has been signed. The rifles will be used by the Estonian Defence Forces and Defence League. The total value of the framework agreement for the next seven years is 40 million euros. 

A joint framework agreement between the Defense Forces of Finland and Sweden will result in Sako being the sole supplier of such firearms for both armies. The agreement, which has an initial value of 78 million euros, includes 5.56x45mm and 7.62x51mm caliber assault rifles, 7.62x51mm sniper rifles and .338 Lapua Magnum rifles.
