New limited-edition Smith & Wesson Model 327 WR, Miculek's record-breaking revolver

Jerry Miculek needs no introduction to anyone with even a passing interest in guns, but in case you are from another planet suffice it to say he is an American professional competition shooter who, among other things, holds five officially sanctioned world records in revolver shooting and over 15 unsanctioned records with various firearms.

The Smith & Wesson Model 327 WR features a lightweight scandium frame and an 8-round titanium cylinder.

In particular, on October 6, 2023, he set the NRA World Record for hitting six steel plates from the draw with a 9 mm Smith & Wesson revolver at seven yards in just 1.88 seconds.

The Smith & Wesson Model 327 WR barrel is quad-ported to reduce muzzle flip and recoil, for lightning-fast follow-up shots.

Impressive, to say the least. Now, Smith & Wesson and Jerry Miculek introduce a limited release – only 1,880 units – of the design used to achieve his latest world record: the Model 327 WR. Features include a lightweight scandium frame, titanium cylinder, signature grips, and smooth trigger action.

The same features that were all necessary for Jerry to accomplish his goal. In addition, it also comes with the C.O.R.E. optic-plate system for revolvers that allow you to mount a wide range of red dot optics available on the market (the acronym C.O.R.E. actually stands for “Competition Optics Ready Equipment”, by the way).

To round off the package, a Vortex Compdot micro reflex sight is included.

Smith & Wesson Performance Center Model 327 WR, a collector's item

On October 6, 2023, Jerry Miculek hit six steel plates from the draw with his 9mm Smith & Wesson revolver at seven yards in just 1.88 seconds, setting a new world record.

The Smith & Wesson Performance Center Model 327 WR (for “World Record”) is a double action only, N-frame revolver in 9mm caliber, with 8-round cylinder and 5”/127 mm Quad-Ported stainless steel barrel. The Jerry Miculek laminated wood signature grips provide optimal ergonomics, enhance performance and allow for minor adjustments needed to be made when moving fast between holster draw and target acquisition. The lighweight scandium frame also allows the user to move swiftly and precisely while transitioning between targets. The front sight has a brass bead.

The Smith & Wesson Model 327 WR comes with a custom Pelican gun case, five moon clips, and a speed loading / unloading tool.

As for the Vortex Compdot that comes with the Smith & Wesson Model 327 WR, it's a red dot built around a very large sight window that delivers greater peripheral vision and increases speed for follow-up shots. Among its other features: motion activation with 10-minute auto-shutoff that automatically activates with motion, a ShockShield polymer insert that absorbs shocks to the 7075 aluminum body for everyday abuse, and a Fast-Rack aggressive texturing on face of optic for racking the slide off any surface (in case you mount the reflex sight on a semi-automatic pistol).

A true collector's gun priced at $3,499, Miculek's Smith & Wesson Model 327 WR revolver also comes with a custom Pelican gun case, five moon clips, and a speed loader / unloader.
