The Ruger PC carbine series evolves into a new, more compact model, the Ruger PC charger. With an overall length of 16.5”/419 mm and chambered in 9mm caliber, the Ruger PC charger is built on a glass-filled polymer chassis system that also allows for the mounting of standard AR grips. The chassis system features a flashy flared magwell for quick magazine changes. The gun comes with two interchangeable magazine wells for use of common Ruger (SR-Series and Security-9 series) and Glock pistol magazines. Receiver is CNC-machined from an aerospace grade 7075-T6 aluminum billet and hard-coat anodized. At the rear, an integrated rear 7075-T6 aluminum Picatinny rail allows for the mounting of Picatinny-style rail brace mounts.
The handguard with factory-installed handstop and Magpul M-LOK-compatible slots at 3, 6, and 9 o'clock is also CNC-milled Type III hard-coat anodized aluminum.
Ruger PC charger details
The Ruger PC charger features a dead blow action with a custom tungsten dead blow weight that shortens bolt travel and reduces felt recoil and muzzle rise.
An easy takedown system enables quick separation of the barrel/forend assembly from the action for ease of transportation and storage. To strip the gun, just lock the bolt back, verify that the pistol is unloaded, and push a recessed lever. Then twist the subassemblies and pull them apart.
With a retail price in the US of 799 USD, the PC Charger comes with one 17 or 10-round SR-Series pistol magazine, hex wrenches for disassembly of the chassis system and pistol, and charging handle removal.
