CZ configurator: a Shadow 2 pistol tailored for the shooter

During one of our frequent visits to the Gun Store Bunker gun shop in Milan, Italy, our attention was drawn to a beautiful version of the CZ Shadow 2 semi-automatic pistol in 9mm caliber, which the owners of the gun shop have dubbed "the Configurator", and it is easy to see why. The technology now available at your fingertips makes it possible to configure (i.e. have details customized at the customer's request) online the characteristics of vehicles, musical instruments and, of course, guns. Among the companies offering this possibility, you will find CZ, a Czech company that is increasingly projected towards the future.

Since we are talking about firearms, the actual purchase will have to take place in a gun shop of course. For the moment, the CZ configurator allows you to customise the characteristics of the P-10, Shadow 2, Shadow 2 Compact and TS 2 pistols. In addition to proposing the various aesthetic and operational options available on each firearm, the configurator explains their function in a concise but very precise manner. The options selected are displayed on an image of the gun, so as to show the user what its final appearance will be, as well as the indicative price of the gun so customised.

But let's return to our "Configurator" which is based on the second generation of the CZ Shadow, a simple but also very refined semi-automatic pistol, based on the timeless pattern of the Model 75 with slide rails internal to the frame. The version customised by the Gun Store shop in Milan features frame and slide with a Cerakote finish in a shade called Burnt Bronze, is  red dot ready and is fitted with a spring guide rod with a stainless steel bushing that guarantees maximum precision realignment between the barrel, frame and slide after each shot. This special version uses magazines with a duralumin extension pad that increases magazine capacity by +2 rounds in 9mm caliber. The result is truly captivating in both aesthetic and operational terms.
