Among the new products for 2020 introduced at the SHOT Show by Leica, two got our attention, the Leica PRS 5-30x56i riflescope and the compact Rangemaster CRF 3500.COM.
The PRS 5-30x56i is Leica’s first long-range riflescope with 6x zoom for maximum flexibility. With a magnification range of 5x to 30x, it's designed for both long-range sport shooting and hunting. Objective lens diameter is 56 mm, with a 34mm main tube. A high light transmission (>90%) and high contrast images, added to increased eye relief (>90mm) and color fidelity, allow for maximum performance.
Other features include a 2 mrad (>100 MoA) adjustment range of the reticle in the first focal plane, tool-free zeroing of the turret scales with onboard tool for “zero stop”, multi-turn elevation turret with rev indicator. In particular, elevation and windage turrets exhibit well defined tactile clicks. More than this, the Leica PRS 5-30x56i is a rugged device, so that it can withstand any competition or hunting stress.
The new Leica PRS 5-30x56i long-range riflescope is available as a ring variant with three reticles: a classic L-4a reticle, a ballistic reticle with hold marks, and a special PRB reticle for precision rifle shooting. All models have reticle illumination (CR2032 battery). The sun visor and the screw-in throw lever are included.
