The traditional Austrian company KAHLES is one of the oldest active riflescope manufacturers.
At SHOT Show 2018 in USA, KAHLES introduced the latest riflescope for sport shooters: the K318i in 3.5-18x50i.
Key features of the new KAHLES K318i riflescope
The new product from KAHLES actually sets new standards, because it is extremely short for a tactical riflescope for long distances. Despite this short design high-quality technology is installed in an only 313 mm housing.
The optical system has a large field of view and gives the shooter a high-contrast and brilliant picture. With the practice-relevant magnification range of 3.5-18x, the K318i was developed primarily for long distances.
The controls can also be easily operated with gloves. The precise clicks in the turrets with integrated parallax settings allow a high and repeatable precision. The large range of adjustments offers sufficient possibilities in every situation. So the shooter can concentrate on the essentials.
A freely rotating cover plate is attached at the target turret. This reliably prevents unintentional adjustment. KAHLES calls this protection "Twist Guard". The shooter can thereby make the settings quickly and without annoying unlocking.
The illuminated SKMR3 or MSR reticle is located on the K318i in the 1st image plane.

The new KAHLES K318i riflescope: a real masterpiece
The new K318i's compact design required years of development and the use of the latest technologies at KAHLES. Only in this way could the ultrashort riflescope achieve the high performance standards. We think that the ultra-short K318i 3.5-18x50i riflescope is indeed a technical masterpiece. It is available in Europe from April 2018 at authorized resellers for a MSRP of 3,200,- Euro.
Among the small practical details is the Allen key for zeroing the target turrets. It is housed in the cover of the lighting unit and thus always available. The lighting unit can be conveniently opened completely without tools.
KAHLES: new brand identity at the SHOT Show 2018
Besides the new K318i riflescope, KAHLES presented their new brand identity at the SHOT Show 2018. The Austrian company is going to refresh the touch and feel of the KAHLES brand also in Europe starting with IWA 2018. We'll keep you informed.
