Viva las Vegas! The highly anticipated event of the year - the SHOT Show 2019 - is only a few days away. It is one of the world's most important trade shows for civilian guns, accessories, hunting, outdoor clothing and law enforcement. In its 41st edition, the show will take place at one of the locations that have one of the most gun-friendly laws in the US - Las Vegas.

The gun show found an ideal venue for the past 10 years with the Sands Expo & Concention Center. SHOT Show 2019: more than 2,000 exhibitors are expected this year.

Since 2010, the fair has consistently attracted high attendance of at least 50,000 visitors, up to almost 70,000 in 2014. Also in the past year, over 60,000 people found their way into the "City of Lights". But not only because of the number of visitors, the largest gun fair in the world is often referred to as the leading trade fair. The patron and organizer of the SHOT Show is the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) - the association of the US firearms Industry. This year, the NSSF expects over 2,000 exhibitors at the exhibition center.

Who is the fair addressed to?

Although well suited, the name SHOT is not only related to shooting. It is an acronym for "shooting, hunting and outdoor trade". In addition to sports shooters, hunters and outdoor fans, the fair is also targeted at law enforcement agencies and armed forces. The Law Enforcement division is the fastest growing segment of the arms fair. 16 years ago, with a total exhibition space of almost 650 square meters, the area has now grown to just under 16,000 square meters.

The SHOT Show is not a public show. It is reserved for retailers and wholesalers in hunting and shooting sports, as well as buyers from law enforcement agencies and security forces. Among the trade visitors are around 2,400 media representatives.
