It will be the 46th edition (the first one was in 1979 in St. Louis, Missouri) and the 25th one to be held in Las Vegas since 2010: from January 23 to 26, 2024, the “Sin City” will be home of the SHOT Show.
With more than 2,500 exhibitors, tens of thousands of products, and some 52,000 attendees on average from over 100 countries, the Shooting, Hunting, Outdoor Trade Show (or SHOT Show for short) Is the largest and most comprehensive trade show for all professionals involved with the shooting sports, hunting and law enforcement industries.
Some more figures can give you an even better idea, however: it's the 3rd largest trade show in Las Vegas and 8th largest one in the whole USA; total exhibit space for the 2024 edition in the two venues of the Venetian Expo and Caesars Forum is estimated to be more than 74,322 net square meters – equivalent to more than 18 acres or enough space to park 547 F-16 fighter jets; the SHOT Show also boasts 22.3 km of aisles, a distance more than half a marathon... (The SHOT Show 2024 website provides a convenient overview of the entire event site.)
Isn't that enough? Well, the 2024 SHOT Show will also offer some new features...
SHOT Show 2024: a new archery area
For the first time, NSSF and Grand View Outdoors partner to create a new archery area at SHOT Show, branded the Archery Business Pavilion. The show area will be designed to provide a comprehensive look at the industry, from traditional archery equipment to cutting-edge technology in compound bows, trail cams and other gear. The Archery Business Pavilion will feature exhibits from leading manufacturers and suppliers in the archery industry, along with hunting and outdoor products used in the pursuit of bowhunting, offering attendees the opportunity to see and experience the latest in archery technology and products.
Then we have the extensive "SHOT After Dark" supporting program that was already experimented in the 2023 edition and extends well into the evening hours to provide even more opportunity for exchange: on Tuesday, January 23, some of the most well-known names in rock and country music will take the stage with the All Star Jam Concert at the Great Outdoors Plaza. On Wednesday, January 24, the Industry Networking Reception will offer the chance to relax after the show floor closes and connect with the industry; on January 25, the Industry Happy Hour will follow, open to all 2024 SHOT Show badge holders. Moreover, the “SHOT Week”, which includes events such as the NSSF/HAVA Golf Classic, the Suppliers Showcase and SHOT University, spans from January 21 to 26.
But it's not just fun and special events, of course: the SHOT Show is above business. And besides civilian firearms and equipment, nearly one-third of the SHOT Show’s exhibit halls are dedicated to protection equipment and tactical accessories needed by law enforcement, SWAT teams, private security and the armed forces.
The LEEP (Law Enforcement Education Program) sessions, in particular, focus on protection measures and practical execution specifically for law enforcement agencies. Upon completion, LEEP participants receive a Certificate of Attendance confirming course participation, which can be used to document training.

What you can expect from SHOT Show 2024?
Due to the Corona emergency, the SHOT Show was only held virtually in 2021 and on a smaller scale in 2022. The 2023 edition was already a great comeback for the trade show. Now, with the pandemic hopefully behind us, we can expect an even greater 2024 edition. Admittedly, among the many industry giants such as Beretta, Glock, CZ, etc., SIG Sauer is again missing from the exhibitors list for the third year in a row. But that seems to be a precise strategic choice on the part of SIG Sauer.
