The next edition of the SHOT Show is on its way: it will be held on January 19th thru 22nd, 2016, and as usual all4shooters.com is gearing up for a full, comprehensive and professional coverage of the event!
First held in 1979 and now arrived to its 38th edition, the Shooting, Hunting, Outdoors & Trade Show is managed by the NSSF - National Shooting Sports Foundation, the U.S. national firearms industry trade association.
Held every year at the Sands Expo & Convention Center in Las Vegas (NV) ever since 2010, as the years went by the SHOT Show went from being a reference trade show for the sole U.S. firearms industry to its current status as the most important event for civilian arms makers from all throughout the world.
As time passed and the tastes and demands of American and international shooters evolved, the typically hunting and sporting-related products saw themselves supplemented on the fair grounds by a heavy presence of tactical and defensive firearms, ammunition and accessories; and while the SHOT Show still remains a mainly civilian-oriented trade show, the number of exhibitors offering professional-grade products for MIL/LE customers has been steadily growing year after year.
For ten consecutive years now, the SHOT Show has been breaking the 40.000/50.000 individual vistors threshold; it never saw less than 60.000 individual attendees ever since 2012, and in 2014 it reached a record number of 67.000 visitors − which definitely makes the SHOT Show the most important gun-related trade event in the world.
Admittance to the SHOT Show is reserved to industry professionals and members of the specialized press: the general public is not allowed on the premises.
