A nice haul of medals – including five gold, four silver and three bronze – for the members of the CZ Shooting Team at the IPSC’s CZ Extreme Euro Open competition. The event, which took place from 20 to 22 June 2024 at the Hodonice shooting range, near the Czech city of Znojmo, is considered one of the biggest and most difficult of the shooting season and this year saw a total of 1,093 sport shooters from 55 countries sport shooters competing for victory.
The CZ Extreme Euro Open is an IPSC Level III shooting competition where shooters had to face thirty different stages, judged “attractive but difficult” by participants. It must remembered that in IPSC dynamic sport shooting speed and accuracy are both important, and shooters have to hit both static and moving targets from different positions or when on the move. There is no predefined approach to each stage – each shooter must figure out how to go through them.

Portuguese shooter Miguel Ramos finished in fourth place and Argentine Juan Pablo Duran came in fifth.
Serbian shooter Ljubisa Momcilovic not only defended his European Championship title, but added another gold medal to the CZ Shooting Team’s collection in the Senior category. The silver medal in the Lady category was won by Italian Camilla Almici. The CZ SHADOW 2 ORANGE was the pistol used in the PRODUCTION division by all members of the CZ Shooting Team. (We already presented this pistol here on all4shooters.com.)
As usual, the PRODUCTION OPTICS division was dominated by Frenchman Eric Grauffel, with Martin Kamenicek winning a second place and the silver medal.
The bronze went to Filipino Edcel John Gino. In the Junior category, French shooter Robin Grauffel won the silver.
The CZ SHADOW 2 ORANGE OR was the pistol model with which CZ shooters competed in the PRODUCTION OPTICS division.
Other medals for the CZ Shooting Team came from the STANDARD division: a gold medal for Filipino Kahlil Adrian Viray and bronze for Zdenek Liehne.
Finishing in fourth place, Josef Rakusan just missed the medal. The CZ TS 2 ORANGE was the model of choice and a contributing factor to CZ Shooting Team success here too.
