"Where excitement starts" – that's the new claim for GECO's ammunition since spring 2021. But it's not just the claim that's new, but also the logo, the packaging and the website.
But this is also accompanied by new products that are intended to live up to the brand's price/performance promise. Especially for sport shooters with high ammunition consumption, GECO offers the relatively new DTX cartridge line: these are various full metal jacket (FMJ) loads for handguns and long guns, naturally in reliable GECO quality, but at an attractive price. For long guns, the two GECO DTX version are available in .308 Win with 150 gr bullet and .223 Rem. FMJ with 55 gr bullet, for handguns there is the GECO DTX in the internationally widespread 9mm Luger caliber with a bullet weight of 115 gr.
UPDATE from May 2022: the .308 Winchester load from GECO is now also available as a lead-free variant in the DTX series!
At IWA 2022, GECO also introduced a brand new lead-free training load that completes the range of popular calibers. It is the .308 Winchester lead-free with item number 2426492, which uses a 7-gram (108 gr) zinc-core HPBT bullet. Packages contain 50 cartridges each, which is a practical and also still handy amount.
Item no. | Caliber | Bullet | Bullet Weight [g/gr] | Rounds per Package | Primer |
2426492 | .308 Win. | HPBT | 7.07/108 | 50 | Boxer |
In addition, a few background information about the new packages: a conscious decision was made at GECO to make the pack sizes as practical and hands-on as possible for shooters: while the .308 Win. and the 9mm Luger come in the market-standard 50-round packs, the new .223 Rem packs contain 150 rounds.

This predestines this load for use in compact and full-size pistols, as well as in modern pistol caliber carbines. The DTX is also the most inexpensive 9mm cartridge in the entire GECO range.

GECO DTX FMJ in .308 Win.
Since 2020 GECO also offers the popular .308 Win. Caliber for semi-auto rifles with standard full metal jacket bullet under the name DTX. This line is aimed at sport shooters with high ammunition consumption and is less expensive than the previous GECO cartridges. Previously, GECO ammo came with plastic loading strips and sealed primers, case mouth lacquer in the 50 pack – all features that make it more expensive to manufacture than is absolutely necessary.
