Baschieri & Pellagri is an italian based premium ammunition manufacturer founded in 1885, when Settimio Baschieri, a dedicated hunter, and Guido Pellagri, a chemistry graduate, first createda smokeless, or “white” powder.
Now in 2016 Baschieri & Pellagri expands its market and proudly introduces in the USA its newest line of sporting clay and hunting shotshells. With all components made inhouse (powder, primers, case and pellets) the superior shotshells deliver a hard hitting reliable pattern and feature the company’s patented Gordon System cases providing 30% less recoil.
B&P Sporting Clay Shotshells are part of the competition line wiche have been used since 1920s to win 14 Olympic medals and countless championship gold medals. Five different 12 gauge shotshells are available: Short Range with 26 grams lead and 9 shots, Medium Range, with 28 grams lead and 8 ½ shot, Long Range with 28 grams and 7 ½ shot. All these cartridges feature a 12 mm head brass. B&P Sporting Clay Steel is also based on a 12 mm head brass with a 26 grams steel load 8 ½ shot and is fit for use where lead shooting is prohibited.
Finally, the F2 HV shotshell (28 grams, 20 mm head brass and 8, 7/12 and 7 shot type) uses F2 powder. This in combination with selected graphite coated shot with 5% antimony enables high initial velocities to be achieved. Now let’s see some of the new hunting products. Heavy Dove and Quail line includes five different options including a 12 gauge 1-1/8 oz. available in lead or steel, a 20 gauge 1 oz. Shell, a 28 gauge 15/16 oz shell and a .410 gauge with 2,5“ shell.
Except for this last one, all cartridges measure 2-3/4”. The B&P Heavy Dove and Quail shotshells are designed to keep consistent and effective spreads for the most reliable and accurate shot, giving the hunter the superior split-second performance he needs. Also for hunters, B&P Magnum Steel shotshells are enginereed to perform admirably in extreme weather conditions from the damp wetlands to frozen marshes.
Delivering consistent patterns with an increased kinn zone, the B&P Magnum Steel ammunition is lined with steel and offers superior performance in wet environments.
The line features five different options including a 12 gauge 1-1/8 oz. with 2-3/4” shell, a 12 gauge 1-1/8 oz. 3”shell, a 1-1/4 oz. 3” shell, a 12 gauge 1-9/16 oz. 3-1/2 shell and finally a 20 gauge 7/8 oz. 2-3/4 lenght shell. Last but not least, the B&P Heavy Pheasant features six different shotshell options including a 12-gauge, 1-1/4 oz., 2-3/4 length shell; a 12-gauge, 1-3/8 oz., 2-3/4 length shell; a 12-gauge, 1-5/8 oz., 3 length shell; a 12-gauge, 1-7/8 oz., 3 length shell; a 20-gauge, 1-1/4 oz., 3 length shell; and a 20-gauge, 1 oz., 2-3/4 length shell.
