The Pathos by F.A.I.R. is available in two different versions, standard and XLight. It’s a balanced and elegant over/under shotgun that thanks to its features and lightweight can be used both for walking hunts and stalking as it is produced in 12, 16, 20, 28 gauge and .410 bore. The name is indicative for a rifle designed for those who have a passion for hunting and want a reliable, refined gun. The details chosen by the hunter will then create a dedicated rifle.
In addition to the various gauges manufactured with dedicated action bodies, the Xlight model features a lighter body machined from Ergal 55 alloy, while the standard version we tested on the field is machined directly from solid forged blocks.
The two versions are easily recognizable. They are also visually distinguished by the bright black color of the rounded body with gold inserts and hand-made engravings of the standard version and nickel-plated body with gold-plated laser engravings for the XLight version.

A well-balanced and stable over/under shotgun offering the performance of an effective and consistent gun both when shooting fast second shots and when ejecting spent shells thanks to the automatic long-stroke ejectors.
The trigger is a selective single system, but a double trigger version is also available.
The solid and safe locking system features a large block on double lugs.
The locks are operated by spiral springs and double-notch hammers. An elegant gold engraving depicting the head of a partridge can appreciated in the fret-worked opening key.
The three-alloyed steel barrels are internally chromed and steel-shot proof, assembled with the XCones® system and available in three different lengths, 68, 71 and 76 cm.
A set of internal and interchangeable Technichoke Hunting XP50 chokes is supplied.
The upper rib is flat and with anti-flare finishing, ending with a classic brass front sight, while the side solid rib is concave. The English stock and round forend of the Pathos over/under are made from select European walnut with a glossy oil finish.
The fine laser checkering allows for a firm and pleasant purchase thanks to the double grip surface. The weight of the shotgun is standard, not exceeding 6.6 lb / 3 kg in 12 gauge and around 6.2 lb / 2.8 kg in the smaller gauges.le grazie al doppio grip di presa.
