A new over-and-under shotgun – the Blaser F16, introduced by the German company at the IWA expo in Nuremberg – promises to revolutionize the hunting and sport shooting market with an excellent combination of features that make it second to none.
The Blaser F16 features, among other things, an exceptionally low center of gravity and a semi-rounded design action with an innovative monocoque construction, for quicker target alignment.
Chambered to fire 12-gauge, 76mm/3” (“Magnum”) shotshells, the Blaser F16 features tapered ribs to support the peripheral vision of the shooter, a Triplex bore design and Blaser's own, proved ejection system, as well as fast mechanics and a crisp trigger pull (1,650 grams/3 lb.10oz.). Adding up to those features is the Inertial Block System (IBS) that prevents the accidental discharge of a second shot while maintaining a superb trigger pull.
Modern production operations, the use of high-strength materials and the technological perfection Blaser is so well-known for, make the F16 a highly reliable and long-lasting shotgun for the range or in the field. The Blaser F16 Sporting shotgun – weighing in at just over 3,6 kilograms – comes with 30” or 32” barrels, while the 3,1kg-heavy F16 Game shotgun is available with 28” or 29” barrels.
