Since its launch in 2021, manufacturer C.G. Haenel has added further model versions to the standard model of the Haenel Jaeger NXT straight-pull bolt-action rifle with composite stock: the Jaeger NXT DS, a laminated wood model with Monte Carlo stock specially designed for buyers with smaller hands (and not just for ladies), and the Jaeger NXT Composite with adjustable synthetic stock.
Two brand new 2024 models will be available just in time for the driven hunt season: the Haenel Jaeger NXT Adjustable and the Jaeger NXT Tracker. The two additional models from the well-known Suhl-based firearms manufacturer are suitable for all conceivable hunting situations, whether stalking, hide hunting, driven hunting or tracking.
Haenel Jaeger NXT Adjustable: a straight-pull rifle with rugged laminated stock and quickly adjustable cheek piece
With the Jaeger NXT Adjustable, C.G. Haenel has combined the advantages of the laminated wood stock of the standard version and the functionality of the composite plastic stock in a rugged wood compound stock with a variably adjustable cheek piece.
The wood compound stock gets its typical wood grain from fast-growing laminated birch wood from FSC-certified cultivation. This makes it an environmentally friendly, sustainable alternative to the classic solid wood stock. The cheek piece can be quickly and easily adjusted in height to the shooter's ideal sighting line using a push button, even when the rifle is in the shooting position. It is guided on two robust locking columns. To adjust, simply press the button on the right-hand side to release the detent so that the cheek piece can extend upwards with spring support. This allows the stock to be easily adjusted to the optimum height in relation to the aiming aid being used.
Like all Haenel Jaeger NXT models, the manufacturer also equips the Adjustable with its i-Sight system. This is variable and offers the hunter the option of adapting the muzzle to all hunting purposes. After loosening a screw, the front sight and base can be completely removed to attach an over-barrel silencer, for example, or moved to the rear in the case of an on-barrel silencer or to screw on a muzzle brake. In conjunction with the M15x1 muzzle thread, which also comes as standard, the i-Sight sight thus offers a great deal of flexibility for the hunting use of the Jaeger NXT.

Haenel Jaeger NXT Tracker – A handy rifle with manual cocking device for trackers and dog handlers
Just a few days ago, the manufacturer launched the brand new Haenel Jaeger NXT Tracker model as the latest member of this straight-pull rifle family. The Tracker is a rifle designed for trackers and dog handlers with a 47-cm short semi-weighted barrel as well as a muzzle sling swivel and a side sling swivel mount in the buttstock. This latest version of the Jaeger NXT from C.G. Haenel not only scores points for its handling, it is also rugged, fast, flexible and safe, and is therefore ideally suited to the needs of dog handlers and trackers.
Thanks to the manual cocking system in conjunction with the chamber lock slide, the rifle can be safely carried even in rough terrain and cocked extremely quickly via the kickdown bolt handle just before firing. When the bolt is closed, the torsion lock mechanism automatically rotates it to lock it in the receiver so that the three lugs on the bolt head engage in their recesses. If required, the bolt handle can also be fully blocked by the chamber lock slide. According to the manufacturer, the direct trigger is crisp and releases at around 1,000 grams. The one-piece laminated wood stock has a straight back and features an easy-grip checkering at the contact points on the forend and pistol grip.
The standard i-Sight system of the Haenel Jaeger NXT rifles can be easily removed to mount an overbarrel silencer on the M15x1 muzzle thread. A Picatinny rail on the receiver allows for easy mounting of optical sights. Thanks to these features, the Haenel Jaeger NXT offers the hunter maximum flexibility.
