In 2021 SIG Sauer will introduce many new products: here we present the latest addition to the M400 Tread series of rifles with the M400 Tread Predator, designed specifically for predator hunting and inclusive of feature changes to suit the needs of hunters; also, from SIG Sauer’s Electro-Optics Division, a complementary set of optics, the Romeo7s miniaturized red dot and Juliet3-Micro 3x compact magnifier, that can be used for hunting, professional and sports activities.
SIG Sauer M400 Tread Predator hunting rifle
The M400 Tread Predator is a semiauto rifle chambered in .223/5.56 NATO, based on the proven Black Rifle/AR-15 pattern, with both aluminum upper flat top and lower receivers finished in Cerakote Elite Jungle color, and a precision style stock that is adjustable for comb height and length of pull while maintaining a lightweight design. The 16” stainless steel barrel features a crowned muzzle with a thread protector to eliminate snag points; the smooth handguard is a lightened free-float M-LOK 15” Predator proprietary part. Controls are ambidextrous and the trigger is hardened and polished.
The M400 Tread Predator is built for accuracy. The M400 Tread Predator is compatible with all the available SIG Sauer TREAD accessories, including varying lengths of M-LOK Handguards, a 3-chamber compensator; an ambidextrous charging handle made of aircraft-grade aluminum; flip-up front and rear iron sights that are easy to install, adjustable, and deploy quickly; an M-LOK front sight adapter with co-witness height made of lightweight aluminum; and multiple configurations of M-LOK grip kits made of high-strength polymer.
SIG Sauer Electro-Optics Division: Romeo7s and Juliet3-Micro optics
The Romeo7s is an addition to the existing Romeo7 line of red dot sights that are targeted to the hunter, sports shooter and armed professional, an intuitive 1x magnification aiming solution, optimized for today’s MSR platforms, regardless of caliber. The Romeo7s is a 1x22mm compact red dot sight available with a red or green reticle, featuring high performance lens coatings for excellent light transmission and aiming dot contrast, a precise 2MOA dot controlled via user-facing rotary dial, a durable half-inch hex mount for 1.41” and 1.63” sight heights, MOTAC to achieve 50,000 hours run time on a AAA battery, an aircraft grade aluminum housing, and dependable IPX-7 waterproof and fog proof performance.
The compatible Juliet3-Micro 3x22mm Magnifier is an ultra-compact and lightweight magnifier with a 90°push-button flip-to-side magnifier mount, an aircraft grade CNC aluminum housing and dependable IPX-7 waterproof and fog proof performance. With its high performance Dielectric coated prism, the Juliet3-Micro Magnifier provides excellent light transmission.
Both the SIG Sauer Electro-Optics Romeo7s and Juliet3-Micro do not yet have an introduction date, while the SIG Sauer M400 Tread Predator will officially launch in Spring 2021. Pricing is not yet available.
