Around four years ago, the first binoculars in the NL Pure model series were launched on the market, and since then they have occupied the flagship role in Swarovski Optik's range of analogue binocular models. We have already covered the previously available NL Pure binoculars in detail on all4hunters.com and have also spoken to the designers. Now two even brighter models are being added. The two new models NL Pure 10x52 and NL Pure14x52 have, as the specifications already reveal, an objective lens diameter of 52 mm and offer 10x and 14x magnification respectively. The lens diameter of 50 mm, which was previously standard for the so-called "50 binoculars", has therefore been increased by 2 mm, which naturally allows more light to enter the binoculars and therefore more to reach the user's eye. In addition, the pioneering SWAROVISION technology with the field flattener lenses should ensure a razor-sharp image. According to the manufacturer, the new NL Pure models have been developed especially for users who want to use their binoculars at long distances and in unfavourable lighting conditions. If you are looking for optics that allow you to observe the foreground for longer, especially at dusk, without having to compromise on detail reproduction, you should take a closer look at the new NL Pure binoculars. The manufacturer Swarovski Optik promises top values in terms of limiting resolution, magnification, edge sharpness, colour fidelity and light intensity. The two new NL Pure 52 models from Swarovski Optik are undergoing a long-term test at all4hunters.com. We reveal our initial test impressions in the video linked above.
Some design features and prices of the new Swarovski Optik NL Pure 52 models and optional accessories
Like the other models in this series, the new NL Pure 52 models also have a very ergonomic housing design with wasp-waisted lines that are orientated towards the natural grip position, which is additionally supported by an oval recess between the thumb and pointer finger position. This design is of course even more noticeable in the larger tubes of the 52 binoculars than in the previous models of the NL-Pure family, which are slimmer by design.
To counteract fatigue during long periods of observation, Swarovski also offers the FRP Forehead Rest Pure, which is suitable for all NL Pure binoculars, at an extra charge of 159 euros. This helps the hunter to keep the optics steady even at 14x magnification. We also talk about image stabilisation in the video, as this is an important aspect at this magnification. So if you want to make things even more comfortable and steady, you can mount the NL Pure 52 binoculars on an ACRA-Swiss-compatible tripod using the Tas-NL tripod adapter. The TAs NL adapter costs 190 euros. Speaking of prices: The Swarovski NL Pure 10x52 is now available in stores for 3,500 euros and the NL Pure for 3,550 euros. All prices quoted so far are the manufacturer's recommended retail prices.
The scope of delivery includes a FSB-L (Functional Sidebag, size L). As the binoculars are stored lying on their side in the FSB, they can be gripped as soon as they are placed in the bag so that they can be brought directly in front of the eyes for observation. Also included is a UCS carrying strap (Universal Comfort Strap) that is universally suitable for the NL Pure, AX Visio, EL and EL Range model series and can be conveniently attached to the counterparts on both sides of the housing in a matter of seconds using quick-release clasps. Swarovski Optik includes a bikini protective cap for the eyepieces and both lenses are fitted with rubber caps that can be folded down directly on the housing. A microfiber cloth for the lenses and a brush with soap for cleaning the waterproof housing are also included.
To mark Swarovski Optik's 75th birthday, there are special offers and an invitation to take part in "Generation Nature"
Swarovski Optik celebrates its 75th anniversary in 2024. In 1949, Wilhelm Swarovski, a nature and astronomy enthusiast, founded the company with the optics division, which, together with the older gemstone factory founded by his father Daniel Swarovski (now Swarovski Kristallwelten), is still 100 per cent family-owned as part of the Swarovski Group. When Wilhelm Swarovski founded the company in the small Tyrolean town of Absam near Innsbruck, he was able to draw on the experience and manufacturing techniques in the field of glass processing and refinement from jewellery stone production and thus equip nature lovers and hunters with high-precision binoculars and telescopes from the very beginning, laying the foundation for the steadily growing reputation of Swarovski Optik as an absolute premium brand and one of the world's leading manufacturers in this segment. But back to the year 2024 and what you as a customer can expect from Swarovski Optik's 75th anniversary. And that is an anniversary promotion from Swarovski Optik with many offers at attractive prices, including binoculars from the NL Pure range that have been on the market for some time.
However, Swarovski Optik is also using the 2024 anniversary year as an opportunity to celebrate nature – and all people who share a love for it. With #generationnature, the optics manufacturer wants to "continuously reawaken the fascination for the unseen and beautiful".
To this end, they invitesnature enthusiasts from all over the world to share their thoughts and/or precious moments captured in pictures in order to honor the beauty of nature together. The aim of "Generation Nature" is to create a sense of community among like-minded people, which is also fully in line with the Swarovski Optik purpose "For the love of nature". You can find out more here on the Swarovski Optik Generation Nature website.
