Due to its innovative design, the swift bullet from RWS is equally suitable for short and long shooting ranges. The Speed Tip Professional is also reliable over long distances and delivers full power into the target – the shock effect of this ammunition in hunting actions is correspondingly high.
The aerodynamic bullet shape of the RWS Speed Tip Professional includes the Speed Tip bullet tip, which ensures low drag, high velocity and thus an extremely flat trajectory. Especially at long ranges it enables accurate shots and maximum shock.
At the rear, the bullet ends in a V-tail tail, which also ensures accuracy and flight stability over long distances. The outstanding long-range capability is proven by ballistic soap tests at 300 m. The result is impressive: here too, in contrast to conventional partially jacketed bullets, the Speed Tip Pro still expands quickly and is highly effective.
Bullet construction of the RWS Speed Tip Pro
The Speed Tip Professional bullet is a partial-fragmentation bullet with a dual-core lead construction, based on the proven H-Jacket principle. The somewhat softer, fast-acting front core of the bullet features an integral hollow point, which is closed with a plastic tip. On impact, the plastic tip is forced into the longitudinal bore and causes the bullet to expand rapidly. The front core disintegrates within the animal's body, forming fragments that lead to extensive internal injuries. This results in a high shock effect and short flight distances.
The penetrating, harder rear core consists of alloyed, hardened lead. The nickel-plated soft steel jacket additionally ensures a high degree of integrity of the remaining bullet body and also ensures a safe exit wound with a clear blood trail even in larger game. With these technical and ballistic properties, the bullet is perfectly suited to a wide range of uses.
The advantages of the RWS Speed Tip Pro bullet at a glance:
- High-velocity ballistics: The extremely flat trajectory together with very high velocity makes it possible to hunt at very long range. This is achieved through the projectile's long-range form, including in particular its speed tip and V-tail.
- Extreme knock-down power: Quick response in the body of game is achieved through the high-speed front tip with its integrated hollow point and the rapidly fragmenting core. The harder tail core provides guaranteed penetration power. When used in hunting, this results in significantly reduced game flight and good exit wounds with clear blood trails.
- High accuracy: Unmatched accuracy is a prerequisite for long-range hits. This is guaranteed by the precision V-Tail and the bullet's nickel-plated finish.
