Our live interview with Gunnar Petrikat on NORMA's new products:
The Swedish premium ammunition brand Norma was founded as early as 1902 and has a long tradition when it comes to hunting and sporting ammunition – both in Europe and in the USA. However, Norma will also be launching several new products in 2021. The company's already extensive range of hunting ammunition, in particular, is now being significantly expanded. But there are also exciting new developments in NORMA's match range. Here are the details, as well as information on when each variant will be available from retailers:
NORMA Bondstrike – A high-precision composite core bullet comes in three new calibers for 2021
Following the successful launch of the Norma Bondstrike bullet in .30 calibers two years ago, the Swedish manufacturer expandeds the offering to 6.5 mm calibers in 2020. The premium bullet was designed for the highest possible target ballistic effect even at very long ranges and features a very good BC value, great inherent accuracy and a higher residual weight than most hunting point bullets at long distances.
For 2021, three more loads of the hunting long-range product line will now follow for the 6.5 PRC (9.27 grams), 7mm Rem. Mag. and 7x64 calibers, with 10.7 g each. The new loads will be available starting in the third quarter of 2021. The calibers of the Norma Bondstrike available so far have already been tested by all4shooters.com.

Norma Ecostrike: lead-free, mass-stable hunting ammunition in new loads
Norma will also be supplying the market with six new Ecostrike lead-free all-round ammunition loads in the course of 2021. In terms of hunting effectiveness, ballistics and behavior in the game body, Ecostrike is similar to Norma's mass-stable Oryx, but copper and nickel are used instead of lead. With its residual weight of nearly 100 percent, the bullet provides high depth penetration and reliable stalking signs.

This will be available in nine calibers during the first half of the year, including the 6.5 Creedmoor and 6.5x55 SE precision calibers.
The other loads are available in .270 Win., 7 mm Rem. Mag., .308 Win., .30-06 Spring., .300 Win. Mag., 8x57 JS and 9.3x62. NORMA Tipstrike: seven new calibers in 2021. Particularly high shock effect thanks to classic expanding bullets
Bullets of the Tipstrike family are characterized by a very high shock effect, as the energy release occurs very quickly in the game body. How this works can be seen very well on Norma's website.
The fast mushrooming bullets still exit thanks to a mechanical lock between the bullet jacket and core – even with heavier game. This makes the Norma Tipstrike ideal for medium and large game, e.g. on driven hunts.
In the second quarter, the Norma Tipstrike will be available in seven additional calibers: 6.5x55 SE, 6.5 Creedmoor, 8x57 JS, 8x57 JRS, 8x68 S, 9.3x62, and 9.3x74 R.

Completely new: Norma GTX bullets for Golden Target match cartridges
When it comes to BC value, Norma knows its stuff, as a glance at the Bondstrike reveals. In turn, the manufacturer has incorporated this expertise into its new Norma GTX match bullet. Thanks to its streamlined, boat-tailed design, the bullet is claimed to have outstanding ballistic properties for long-range and benchrest shooting. Its insensitivity to wind is also said to prove its worth in open-range competition.
The GTX bullet will also be used in Norma's Golden Target series from the third quarter of 2021. Its caliber lineup is made up of seven popular sports shooting loads from .223 Rem. to .308 Win. These also include the long-range 6mm Creedmoor, 6.5 Creedmoor and 6.5 PRC calibers. The Golden Target shares the same design as Norma's Diamond Line, but is not molycoated A plus point of the Golden Target is also the favorable price-performance ratio. The Norma GTX is of course also available as a bullet for reloaders.
