In 2021, GECO is not only facing a general overhaul of its website true to the new slogan "Where Excitement Starts" with a modern and dynamic look, but also the expansion and addition of "hardware": the manufacturer has now unveiled its new products for the hunting and sporting ammunition segments during the virtual IWA OutdoorClassics 2021.
Accordingly, the high velocity ammunition GECO Express gets loads for the trendy precision calibers, the lead-free GECO Star appears in the caliber 7x64. But GECO also has entirely new products in the pipeline for 2021, such as a new cartridge for long-range shooters and a new fragmentation bullet for self-defense.
Here you can read all about the new announcements and find out when the respective products will be available at retailers.
GECO Express 2021: new calibers for maximum velocity and fast energy transfer on game – even at long ranges
With its GECO Express, the manufacturer is now also adding to the precision range with the 6.5 Creedmoor and 6.5x55 SE calibers, each with 9.1 g bullet weight. GECO is thus bringing the high velocity and knock-down power of the Express to longer ranges as well.
"The Fast Hunting Bullet" – this is the label under which GECO classifies its Express ammunition in its product catalog. The cartridge is designed for maximum velocity, which ensures that penetrating power and accuracy remain guaranteed, especially at long distances.
The GECO Express will be available in 6.5 Creedmoor and 6.5x55 SE calibers in the second quarter of 2021.

GECO Star in 7x64 caliber: lead-free all-round ammunition
GECO's latest lead-free expanding bullet, the GECO Star, is also growing: the all-purpose all-round cartridge will also be available in 7x64 caliber with a bullet weight of 9.1 grams starting in the second quarter.
The bullet material used in the GECO Star is copper. It has excellent deformation properties and is also considered to be particularly gentle on the forest.
With this, GECO adds another offering for lead-free hunting with good performance to its previously available .30 calibers (.308 Win., .30-06 and .300 Win. Mag.). Unfortunately, availability is delayed until fall/winter.

In addition to two new calibers, .45 Auto (11.3 g) and .40 S&W (10.0 g), for the Action Extreme in the second quarter, GECO is introducing the Action Extreme Fragmentation, a version featuring a monolithic partial fragmentation bullet with high instantaneous effect in .380 ACP (9mm Browning Short), 9mm Luger, .40 S&W and .45 Auto calibers.
