New knives from IWA Outdoor Classics 2019

New from the IWA Outdoor Classics 2019: we found many new captivating blade designs this year, folding and fix blade knives that we think may attract the interest of our readers. From manufacturers such as FOX Knives, Maserin, Puma, Extrema Ratio, Pohl Force,  Mikita and the Maniago Knife Makers, Benchmade and even Merkel: here's what we think which models are going to set the blade market's trend in 2019!

Benchmade Aller folder

The Benchmade Aller folder is an everyday carry knife meant to abide by any law. It has a friction opening system without a lock and a 4 cm long blade with no point. The small grip is in black G10.
Benchmade Puukko fixed blade knife

Benchmade Puukko fixed blade knife pays tribute to the classic Scandinavian handyman knife, recently returned to be trendy among outdoor enthusiasts. This version is distinguished by the drop point profile blade with high bevel. The grip is made of Santoprene.
The CRKT Seismic knife

The CRKT Seismic folding knife with the button operated lock, introduced in Las Vegas, is also showcased at IWA.
Extrema Ratio "Silente" knife

Presented as a prototype, the Extrema Ratio " Silente" commemorates 40 years since the foundation of the Italian Special Police NOCS (Nucleo Operativo Centrale di Sicurezza). The name of the knife is taken from the unit’s motto. The grip is divided into two parts and creates the handle of a pincer located in the terminal part of the handle. It can cut crosslinks, wire, steel cables etc. and last but not least it can be used as a window breaker, thanks to the tungsten carbide insert at the end.
Extrema ratio SERE 2

Officially adopted by the Italian Navy Special Forces “Gruppo Operativo Incursori”, here's the new Extrema Ratio SERE 2 knife.
Extrema Ratio SERE 2 knife

The Extrema Ratio SERE 2 knife is an evolution of the previous SERE1 model from which it differs for a redesigned and more practical position for the line cutter. The T-handle grip is in Forprene.
Fox 605, 606 and 607 knives

The Fox 605, Fox 606 and Fox 607 knives designed by "Vox" share the length of 225 mm and the 110 mm long blade and 4 mm thick Niobium Becut steel. The first two models have the "utility" blade sharpening profile which can be of the Scandinavian type (model 606), or with high bevel (model 605). The 607 model has a skinning hook on the back.
Maserin Clavium

Designed by Giacomo Toncelli, the Maserin Clavium is a large knife suitable for heavier jobs. Inspired by the "pennato", a sort of billhook blade used mainly in the woods of Tuscany, the Clavium has a N690 steel blade with a "stone washed" finish that’s 310 mm long for a total length of 460 mm. The grip is made of forprene.
Merkel Knife

Merkel is a hunting rifles manufacturer that introduced a limited edition version of its Helix Speedster rifle with some parts of the stock in a high visibility orange color at IWA. Among the other features that make the weapon exclusive, there is also a fixed blade hunting knife with coordinated coloring.
New Mikita line of knives 2019

The new line of Mikita knives presented by the Maniago Knife Makers. The names of the knives are inspired by the rivers that flow into Friulian lands and are (from the left): Cellina, Isonzo, Timavo and Colvera. The knives were designed by Jesper Voxnaes and Lucas Burnley, and are produced in collaboration by Fox Knives, Lionsteel, Mercury and Viper.
Mikita Colvera knife

The Mikita Colvera is a folding knife with M390 steel blade available with satin or stonewash finishes. The opening is with a removable flipper and once the flipper rod is removed, it becomes a two-handed fingernail opening. The knife has a ball bearing hinge system. The grip is 3D machined.
Mikita Isonzo knife

The new Mikita Isonzo small lockable is available with three different N690 steel blade profiles, all in stonewash finish. The spacer is ideal for fixing a carabiner. The "finger flick" opening system (with specific opening hole) acts on ball bearings. It’s a liner lock with stainless steel flange, also the reversible wire clip is stainless steel.
Mikita Cellina knife

The Mikita Cellina is a friction operated knife that cannot be opened with just one hand, so it can be carried in those countries that have very strict and precise laws on knife carry. The M390 steel blade has a satin finish, the grip is available in titanium or in a choice of precious woods.
Pohl Force Three Survival knife

Pohl Force is a brand owned by combat knife expert Dietmar Pohl. The company has in its catalog several sturdy and tactically inspired fixed and folding blades, like this Force Three Survival, with a 105 mm long D2 steel blade and a 4 mm thick two-tone finish and a G10 handle with non-slip faceted surface. The folder uses a liner-lock.
Puma Anniversary knife

In 2019 Puma in Solingen (Germany) commemorates 250 years, a milestone to be celebrated with a series of special products. The 250-year-old commemorative knife from PUMA incorporates the lines of the "Jagdnicker", the traditional German hunting knife. Designed by HP Knoop, the Puma Anniversary has the DS93X Dense Twist stainless steel damask blade, with a 60 HRC hardness. The grip is made in stag horn.
Puma Diana and Zeus knives

The Puma Diana and Zeus knives are dedicated to hunters. The Diana model is intended for female hunters, so it has a handle, in olivewood or Micarta, suitable for smaller hands and a 105 mm blade. The Zeus has a handle in deer horn or oak wood with a 110 mm blade. Both are supplied with a high-quality saddle leather sheath.
Puma knife of the year

Every year, Puma presents a special limited-edition knife model at IWA: the Jahremesser. For 2019 the manufacturer showcases a traditional Hirschfänger dagger of which only 50 pieces will be made.
Solingen knife of the year

The blade of the Solingen knife of the year measures 24 cm for a total length of 37.2 cm and a weight of 452 grams. The grips are in oak wood, thermally treated to increase their resistance to use.
