Based on the already proven B-14 platform, the Bergara Ridge embodies the company's desire to offer the hunter a high quality rifle at an affordable price, in this case less than 900 US dollars.
The Bergara B14 Ridge is entirely built in Spain and features a 22 or 24 inches (56 or 61 cm, according to the caliber) "Light Varmint" profile barrel built without compromise. The barrel is honed and subsequently button-rifled with numerical control machines.
Bergara B-14 Ridge: technical features
The Bergara B-14 Ridge is a repeating rifle featuring a proprietary design bolt with a tapered head with two locking lugs. The opening angle is 90° and is characterized by a great smoothness. The bolt qualities, together with those of the fully floating barrel contribute to make this weapon very reliable and accurate. The stock is made of polymer with a soft touch finish and a thick rubber recoil pad.
At present the Bergara B-14 Ridge is available in 6.5 Creedmor, .22-250 Remington, .270 Winchester, 30-06 Springfield, .243 Win, 7mm Remington Magnum and .300 Winchester Magnum with a 24 in (61 cm) barrel or in .308 Winchester with a .22-in (56 centimeters) barrel. The muzzle is threaded for mounting - where legal - muzzle brakes or silencers.
The trigger weight is adjustable, and is set to a weight of 3 lbs / 1.4 kg. The model presented at IWA 2018 had an internal magazine, but a version with a removable single-stack magazine will also be available in mid-2018. The weight of the Bergara B-14 Ridge carbine is 7.9 lbs / 3.6 kg.
